Its that time of year, the leaves have pretty much all fallen, the days are getting shorter and shorter and the weather doesn’t seem to get over 50 degrees. Plus its Halloween, no better time to bring a delicious hot toddy into your drink routine.
Megan and I tried out an easy peasy recipe tonight in preparation for walking the babes around tomorrow for Trick or Treating! I always remember my parents walking around with to-go cups and now I’m finally old enough to realize it wasn’t decaf in those cups 😉
This quick recipe is made out of things . you might even have in your cupboards, except maybe cinnamon sticks, I had to run to Target for that.
- White Crisp Wine
- Whisky
- Apple Juice
- Cinnamon Sticks
- Honey
Start by simply simmering the bottle of Wine, 4.5 cups of Apple Juice and a couple of Cinnamon Sticks – do that for about 30 minutes
Next ladle out into your favorite mug, or to-go cup, finish off with a half shot of Whisky and a teaspoon of honey. Stir….
BOOM! Warm Deliciousness – It does smell a bit Whisky heavy at first sniff but it honestly doesn’t taste that way.
I’m planning on making another batch tomorrow for Trick or Treating, it’s not supposed to be that cold but, tis the season! 😉
Cheers!
